Monkey noises are alleged to have been chanted at the English players in the European Championship opener against Serbia.
Now Uefa will investigate the incident.

England defeated Serbia in the European Championship opener 1-0 after an early goal by Jude Bellingham. The aftermath has not only been about the match itself – but also about some events that happened before and in connection with the fight.

UEFA has handed out fines to Serbia’s football federation after objects were thrown onto the pitch and fans uttered provocative messages that “do not belong at a sporting event”. It was also messy in the city before the match where seven people were arrested by police.

Now Uefa is also starting an investigation into possible monkey noises against the English players during the match. This is reported by the British newspaper Daily Mail, which further writes that it is based on a testimony from the stands.
