GOAT: Jay Jay Okocha Picks Between Ronaldo and Messi

Former Super Eagles captain, Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha, has weighed in on the ongoing debate about who truly deserves the title of the greatest footballer of all time (GOAT) – Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.

For almost 20 years, the rivalry between Messi and Ronaldo has been at the heart of football discussions around the globe.

Between the two of them, they have bagged 13 Ballon d’Or awards, with Messi claiming eight out of those.

In a recent interview with Pulse Fun Facts, Okocha revealed his preference, choosing Messi over Ronaldo.

“They are both GOATs, but my personal GOAT is Messi because he seems more natural to me,” Okocha explained.

Interestingly, neither Messi nor Ronaldo made it to this year’s Ballon d’Or nominations, a sign that this could mark the end of an era in football.
