French international forward Christopher Nkunku has renewed his contract with Leipzig for a further two seasons until June 2026, the German Football League club announced today in a statement released on its official website.
Nkunku, who was linked to the club until 2024, was named the best player of the last edition of the ‘Bundesliga’, after having scored 20 goals and 13 assists in 34 games played in the competition, in which Leipzig finished in fourth place.
The 2021/22 season was, moreover, the best season for the 24-year-old forward, who scored a total of 35 goals and 16 assists in 52 official matches with the ‘roten bullen’ (red bulls), including seven goals in the Champions League.
The player, who counts six caps for the French national team, did all his training at Paris Saint-Germain, having moved to the German emblem in 2019.
