Galatasaray chairman Dursun Özbek has stated Victor Osimhen won’t be pressured to exit the team when the transfer market opens in January.
Osimhen is currently loaned to the Turkish Super Lig titleholders from Serie A side Napoli.
There is a release condition in the contract which permits the striker to depart the Turkish Super Lig champions next month.
This has led to numerous rumors about the striker’s near future in recent days.
Özbek emphasized that the choice to exit before the end of the loan term will depend on the player himself.
‘”He belongs to us this season. There is a very strict clause for him to depart mid-season. Based on our agreement, he will stay with us until the conclusion of the season,” he told A Spor.
“No one should sway him. He will make his own choice at the season’s end. If he decides to remain at Galatasaray, he can.
“Don’t be deceived by the impression that he will depart. He is extremely pleased to be in Turkey and at Galatasaray.”
