Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has clarified why teammate Alejandro Garnacho didn’t celebrate after scoring against Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday.
Garnacho netted Man United’s third goal against Leicester City at Old Trafford and declined to celebrate.
However, Fernandes thinks some Manchester United fans have lost trust in the Argentina international, which is why he decided not to celebrate his goal against Leicester.
The Red Devils clinched the match 3-0 as Fernandes also scored for the hosts.
“Garnacho scored a screamer but didn’t celebrate like he should because he feels he has lost support from some fans,” Fernandes told the BBC.
“I reminded him people will always complain but lots of people appreciate you and value what you do.
“I encouraged him to celebrate, it was something memorable. He is a unique player, and we have distinct playmakers. They are the ones who win us matches.”
