Evanilson, Bournemouth’s record signing, opened the scoring with a well-timed volley, marking his first goal in English football. Shortly after, a bit of luck saw Dango Ouattara double the lead. Semenyo then grabbed the spotlight once again, taking control of the ball 30 meters out, weaving past Lesley Ugochukwu twice, and firing a precise, low shot into the far corner of the net.
The Cherries held on comfortably to bounce back from losses to Chelsea and Liverpool, while Southampton’s struggles continued, with a tough trip to Arsenal looming before the international break.
