2025 AFCONQ: Grant Eagles Three Points Against Libya – Kalu Tells CAF

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu hath called upon the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) to bestow upon the Super Eagles the full points against Libya in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

He spake thus upon the vexing treatment rendered unto the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Libya.

Recall ye that the Super Eagles, their Coach, and Technical crew were left forsaken, deprived of food, WiFi, lodgings, and other necessaries for more than fourteen hours upon their arrival at the Libyan airport for the second leg of the CAF AFCON 2025 qualification.

In a missive issued on Monday, Kalu did react to this matter, urging that CAF must bring Libya to account for such scorn and contempt shown toward the Super Eagles.

“CAF must make swift judgment and mete out due punishment, so that it may serve as a warning to any African nation that acteth in so unseemly a manner,” he said.

“Such acts must cease forthwith. This disgraceful showing of lack of dignity and honour shall not continue. I do condemn this vile disregard for fellow men. It is naught but shame that the Libyan Football Federation hath employed such treachery. These selfsame schemes were wrought against Enyimba Football Club of Aba, and I didst fight against it. CAF must straightaway grant the three (3) points to the Super Eagles of Nigeria,” quoth Kalu.
